Uttarakhand Archery Association Hosts 3-Day Coaches Workshop with Special Speaker Dronacharya Awardee Jiwanjot Singh Teja
Dehradun, Uttarakhand – November 11, 2024:
The Uttarakhand Archery Association (UAA) successfully conducted a three-day Archery Coaches Workshop (Level 1 ) in Dehradun, aimed at enhancing coaching skills and promoting the growth of archery in the state. Held from November 11 to November 13, 2024, the workshop brought together aspiring archery coaches (21) from across Uttarakhand to learn from expert trainers, including the distinguished Dronacharya Awardee, Mr. Jiwanjot Singh Teja (National Archery Coach), Ms. Ishita Sajwan (Psychologist) and Mr. Pinaaki Sen (Strength & Conditioning Coach).
The event, organized by the Uttarakhand Archery Association, served as a crucial step towards strengthening the sport of archery in the region, with a special focus on coach development. The workshop featured interactive sessions on the fundamentals of archery coaching, training methodologies, injury prevention, mental toughness techniques, and the latest advancements in the sport.
Mr. Jiwanjot Singh Teja, an Olympic-level coach and Dronacharya Awardee, was the highlight of the event, sharing invaluable insights drawn from his vast experience in coaching elite archers. His motivational talk inspired participants to refine their coaching approach and adopt a scientific, athlete-centric training methodology. His guidance was instrumental in setting the tone for the workshop, emphasizing technical proficiency and the mental fortitude required for excelling in archery.
